(My appologies if any answers are a bit harsh. Keep in mind that I get asked these A LOT, so re typing the same answer gets frustrating.)
What? Why does it say the characters are in college? I thought they were still at home/not 18! What grade are they in at high school?
I'm English. As in, I come from England, the place where this language you're reading comes from. In England, and even within England there are different school systems. The characters are aged 16-17 and are in their first year of college. If you want to know more, google is your friend.
Have either Tom/Charlie had their sex change operations yet?
1) There is no magical sex change operation that just makes them into the other sex instantly. There are several different ones for either direction, and it can take years before all of their surgery is finished, if they choose to undertake surgery to begin with.
2) If either Charlie or Tom had major surgery in the comic, I think I would have mentioned it. If you're curious about hormone details ect, then you're going to have to wait until the story tells you like you would with other comics.
What's up with the name Khaos? Why did you choose it?
I didn't actually name the comic for several months, but I was looking back through the old stuff and saw a page where everyone was deciding a name for their band. Amber comes up with the name Khaos, and I thought “damn, that's just crap enough to work”, and there we go, the comic had its name.
There are so many re-do's of this comic, what gives?
Well, I started this comic a little over two and half years ago. I began just writing it because I could, with no plans to put it online. The comic was mostly for my friends to read, so they didn't really care about plot/art work etc. so when I finally got around to putting the original online, I had got up to 300 strips worth of Khaos. After a while I realised that the old stuff was so crap, and the plot just as awful, that I redid it. And the same goes for the new version, the plot holes just started appearing, and bugged the fuckery out of me. So I started again.
I've read all of the comics including the old stuff, and none of it makes sense. Like does in the old ones, but its completely different in the new version.
Let me make this clear, in each version of the comic, the characters stay the same, but the plot changes completely. This is because the thing I was the most unhappy about in the older versions is the plot, so it has to be changed to make me happy. So read each version as though it was a completely different comic because they contradict each other quite a lot.
What's the deal with all the gay people? I mean come on, they can't ALL be gay.
I agree with you on that one there, I don't know how it happened, but somehow I managed to make all my characters gay. This was another reason for the redraft, because by telling each story separately, it's less like everyone's gay, but more like certain people are. Also, its not all gay, some are Trans-gendered, some are homophobic, and some just want to hump certain people. See, not all gay.
You have so many gay people in your comic, are you gay too?
I'm whatever. I don't think love should be dictated by a gender preference. I'm trans, so I have a partner who loves me for who I am- it's only fair that I think of them in the same way.
