I think this is one of the most powerful pages in this chapter, possible in the comic.
Transvestites don’t wear clothes because they get off on it. But I guess that’s what he saw, so that’s the ignorance he picked up. Shame :/

No, that’s just the definition of “transvestite”. Usually a straight dude who wears lingerie during sexytime because he has a fetish for it.

That may not be the right definition, (and it’s usually a slur, since wearing “female” clothes doesn’t mean anything more than wearing “male” clothes as a girl- it’s just a stupid social convention) in the sense that not all people who identify as tv define it that way, which doesn’t make it a necessarily wrong definition, either. And it’s what SHE saw… just saying.
Literally, transvestite means the same thing as “crossdresser”, but it has taken on it’s own meaning separate from that of cross dressers. That is, cross dressing is a hobby/mild form of gender dysphoria or simply expression, and transvestitism is almost autogynephilic – an arousal by the image of oneself as a woman.
