Jamies Story Page36
on April 2, 2012 at 12:01 amGratuitous Charlie page!
In fantastic news Arthur Milchior has put up a french translation for Mark and Steve’s stories on his website! You can read them here:
Vous voulez Khaos en francais?
If any one else would like to translate Khaos into another language feel free to contact me at Tab@khaoskomix.com.

I could stare at the first panel forever.
I I ever think I can get the time, it would be funny to translate Khaos into Danish…. Hmm
I’ll help!
Godt med flere danskere!
Am I surprised to find Danes here! xD
Hvis det bliver aktuelt vil jeg ikke have noget imod at hjælpe C;
And Swedish! (Actually going for a MA in English-Swedish translations). Hej på er där nere i Danmark ;D
I can help 8D I’m Danish, too~
First panel. Eternal love. Loooovvvvveee. His whole page just makes me smile
Magic colour changing clothes!
White and black in the first panel to grey in the second to black in the last!
I don’t think they are taking place on the same day. The first panel is a reference to the meeting played out in Charlie’s story. The rest are just another incident of them hanging out.
It’s not just the colour: her entire outfit is different.
I think time has passed; it’s not a color change, but a completely different outfit she’s wearing.
Yeah, it’s not the same day. Her hair is also different; free in the first panel, but up in ponytails in the following ones.
I love how he is refering to Charlie as a she even in his mind, even though he has a pretty good idea that she is biologically male.
Its a good sign.
Ooh, nice. I didn’t catch that the first time.
Pencil sharpener. Discretely handled, very subtle.
I see what you did there.
Nice catch.
I think what I love about this, is the fact that this is EXACTLY how my fiance decided to break the ice to get to know me when we first me!
This page made me giddy. Charlie fuck yeah~
Is it just me or does this page not show up unless directly linking to it? There is no “next” button on page 35.
It’s better now, thanks!
This happens a lot; usually, when I think there may be an update when none is showing up, I go over to the forums under ‘pages’ and there’ll be a link to the new one….but I bet that’s what you did already.
If you would like to have a Dutch translation….
Just contact me by email.
I think the second set of panals are approaching the kiss that murfs walks in on.
It’s still super early, he ‘s just getting to know her, they don’t even kiss till after she starts hanging out at his work. >.>
I love this page. The facial expressions, ugh. And Charlie’s clothes!
I’d love to translate this to Slovenian, I think there are a lot of youngsters here that could benefit by reading this.
If you want some help with that I’d love to work on it with you. We need something like that in Slovenian (especially considering how the referendum went) so maybe the next generation will grow up more liberal.
These are great portrayals of young students and valuable insights into the different causes and situations involved. Not hiding either positive or negative aspects and linking the reasons for how some people have gone wrong (Jamie’s Joan Crawford theocrat mum and initial molester, for example) offers ideas for potential solutions to the readers. Putting truly consensual sex in a positive light helps everyone out a lot…
charlie loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove
<3 <3 <3
Oh I say! What would Jamie love to be able to wear if he only had the courage to do so? This is getting very intriguing!
I share your curiosity. It could just be the goth outfits he doesn’t want his mother to hear about him wearing so he won’t wear them to class, but maybe his interests span beyond that.
Yeah. I think he’s talking about the stuff he was seen wearing earlier in his story. You know, the hot stuff. xd
It’s obvious.
A maid’s outfit.
How cute. <3
Been reading “A song of ice and fire” again, lately. Weird thing is that in my mind; Jamie Lannister looks exactly the same as Jamie in this comic…well, a non-comic and “realistic” version of Jamie to be precise, but never the less, it’s Jamie.
Now on to the more serious stuff.
<__>
When will Charlie and Jamie kiss and get nekkid?!! Come ooooooon! Getting impatient here!
Oh yeah! And they’re both people you hate at first and then grudging learn to like.
What? You didn’t like Charlie? I loved her from the beginning…but maybe that’s because she reminded me of a friend in high school. She was the Goth-est person in school (which actually isn’t saying much being a rural school) and she was vegan. Aside from the whole born with male genitals thing my buddy Kristie is a dye job away from Charlie.
I must confess, I didn’t think very much of Jamie (the comic character) as first. He was just another bully and homophob…but with GREAT hair! I had to wait for his chapter before I started to like, and be sorry for him, at the same time.
Charlie though…my heart melted at first sight. I swear, if I had known someone like her…him…whatever…I just might have asked that person out for a coffee <3
I had similar feelings towards Jamie when I first started reading this comic, but it was as he was referenced more and more often in the stories as having more to do and worry about in life than create inventive ways of calling Murfs gay that I became interested in him. Even before Charlie’s story, I’d like to think that I had a good inkling that there was a lot more going on under the surface other than just mean asshole. Then of course came the delightful shmexiness of Charlie’s story (lip biting! <3 ) that pretty much solidified Jamie under the category of "troubled, but not irredemable and very cute". This chapter pretty much confirms what was already established there.
Also, in response to "her" vs. "him", allow me to quote Better Than Chocolate:
"When you say 'good day sir'
you stab me all the way through
my tender… transgender heart"I had similar feelings towards Jamie when I first started reading this comic, but it was as he was referenced more and more often in the stories
Pardon the typo at the end there… T_T
Zeppo – What I meant with the “her…him…whatever” was that I didn’t care one bit about Charlie’s gender. The person that is Charlie is so loveable that nothing else matters <3
Also…about the lip biting. I had it the same way! ^^
Now I just hope that the story will progress, and not just end with a hug or whatever. I mean, Jamie's colleague SAID that Jamie's tastes "run darker than you'd expect". I'm PAINFULLY waiting and looking forward to seeing what it means. And I swear, if it doesn't result in Jamie and Charlie doing dirty unmentionable things to each other, even if it's censored, behind or under something…well, then I'll never vote fort this comic again!
My favourite couple need to end their final chapter with a BANG! Pun OH-SO intended!
I think what lenn meant was that Jamie in the comic and Jamie Lannister in A Song of Ice and Fire are unlikeable at first, not that Charlie is.
Oh my God, LOVE Charlie in the dark dress.
And yay, Jamie and Charlie start their friendship-leading-to-love! D’aww! <3
NOW KISS.
I’m the umpteenth person to say this but I loooooove the first panel.
I think it’s really interesting how Jamie equates size with confidence like he does. He thinks he should be able to express himself comfortably because he’s tall and bigger people are harder to beat up and take advantage of.
Three guesses what that harkens back to. Poor guy. :-\
re reading this page again after haveing read the rest so far – cant help but wonder what it is jamie wants to wear which he thinks will get him shunned or beat up?
maybe its just goth clothes or maybe he wants to wear skirts – eitherway imcurious as to see what would make him more comfortable and why he thinks he cant wear it, as a ciswoman i didnt wear dresses much incase i got teased for my lack of curves, despite them being a gender steryo type…
wait – never mind. think it ws just being goth… fail on my part
