Errm, am I the only one that kind of thinks it looks like Steve has no pants on?
HA!
Long time reader, just wondering who exactly that shirt is targeted toward. People who enjoy child abuse? Or people who like to advertise abuse as a cool shirt design?
I guess I feel like it’s just in really, really poor taste to make a t-shirt for people to wear that basically represents a person’s (though fictional) abuse and inner turmoil.
I was worried people would see it that way, but that’s not the point at all. The target market is anyone who’s suffered abuse and their allies. It’s to say that while we have inner turmoil, we’re survivors and not ashamed of our demons. That’s why the centre motif is a heart, to imply being bared open.
I printed the shirts because I wanted to, I’ll probably be making a loss on them because it’s not funny words on a black shirt.
Reading the store description I can see where you got the idea from. I have a habit of being rather sarcastic, calling it awesome was meant ironically. I’ll update the description so it reflects what the shirt is more about.
